In response to the situation of COVID-19, Thailand has launched the mobile applications, called “AOT Airports” and “SydeKick for ThaiFightCOVID”, in order to collect data and track foreign tourists entering the Kingdom of Thailand as well as Thais returning from countries at risk in accordance to the Announcement of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, regarding dangerously contagious areas outside Thailand, caused by COVID-19 and countries, defined as ongoing local transmission, including Norway.
Instructions related to the mobile applications as follows:
1. “AOT Airports”
Passengers are required to download the application from the QR code located at the COVID-19 Screening points at the airports and register by filling personal information before passing through the Immigration. All information will be collected by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, for the purpose of tracking and coordinating information on the COVID-19 situation. If infection is found after entry of the passengers, the system will track and coordinate with infected individuals and fellow travellers.
2. “SydeKick for ThaiFightCOVID”
Passengers travelling from countries at risk, who are requested to have a self-quarantine at home, will be further requested to download the application, in order to be under monitoring of the Thai public health agencies concerned during the specified period. Violators of the self-quarantine rule will be prosecuted according to the law.
The Information of the users of both applications will be kept confidential.
